What you're buying

When you buy DropLock for WooCommerce, you get the software, the right to install it on the number of sites your plan allows (1, 5, or unlimited), the right to use it indefinitely on the version you downloaded, plus updates and email support for the term of your plan (1 year for annual plans, lifetime for lifetime plans).

License & what your purchase covers

DropLock for WooCommerce is licensed under the GPL v2 or later, in line with WordPress and WooCommerce. The plugin’s code is publicly available on GitHub, and the GPL lets you install, modify, redistribute, and self-host it.

What your purchase pays for is the service around the code, not exclusive access to the code itself:

• Official updates — bug fixes, security patches, and new features delivered to you as they ship.
• Support — email help from the people who build the plugin.
• Continued development — your purchase funds the roadmap (launch windows, waitlist capture, bulk editing, and more).
• Pro functionality — access to the Pro build and, when introduced, automatic license-based updates.

This access is tied to your purchase and is non-transferable. You are welcome to use the GPL freedoms on the code you have; what you cannot do is resell our support or update service to others.

Support

Email support is included with every active plan. We aim to respond within 1 business day. We help with: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and bug reports. We do not provide: custom development, theme integration work, or support for unrelated WordPress / WooCommerce problems.

Plans, renewals & what happens when a license expires

• Annual plans (Single Site $49/yr, 5 Sites $99/yr, Unlimited $199/yr) auto-renew once a year until you cancel. Each renewal extends your updates and support by another year.
• Lifetime plans (Single $149, Unlimited $399) are a one-time payment with no renewal. They include updates for the lifetime of the plugin — defined as while we are actively maintaining the product, or until we publicly sunset it with at least 12 months’ notice.
• When an annual license lapses (you cancel or a renewal fails), the plugin keeps working — it does not phone home or disable itself. You simply stop receiving new updates and support until you renew.
• Cancelling — cancel anytime using the manage-subscription link in your Stripe receipt, or email support@droplockwp.com and we’ll handle it. Your license stays active through the end of the period you already paid for.

What can disqualify you from support / updates

• Sharing your license / download with people outside your organization.
• Reselling the plugin as your own product (the GPL lets you redistribute under your own brand, but doing so does not entitle you to use our support or update channel for your customers).
• Repeated chargebacks.

Warranty & liability

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that DropLock will catch every duplicate purchase — a determined customer with a new email and a new card cannot be stopped by an email-based check, and we make no claim otherwise. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the plugin in the last 12 months.

Changes

We can change these terms with notice on this page. Material changes that affect active subscribers will be emailed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which DropLock’s operator is established. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another region with mandatory consumer-protection rights, those rights still apply and are not waived by this clause.
